SaaS product strategy and delivery for a multi market digital verification platform

A digital verification platform needed to grow from a working concept into a scalable SaaS product serving customers in several markets. The team shaped the product roadmap, verification workflows and API first integration model, including a side chain architecture anchored to a public blockchain for tamper evident records.

Representative experience delivered by the MMG Tech team within complex enterprise and public sector environments. Client details are withheld and outcomes are described without unverified metrics.

Why it mattered

Customers wanted to verify records quickly and trust the result, but each market brought different workflows, integration needs and expectations.

The product had to stay simple for end users while supporting enterprise integration, automation and a verification model that could scale without costs growing with every transaction.

  • Varied verification workflows across markets
  • Enterprise customers expecting clean integration
  • Balancing blockchain assurance with cost and speed
  • Competing feature requests without a clear roadmap
  • Preparing the platform to scale commercially

What was done and why

  1. 01

    Product strategy and roadmap

Customer segments, core jobs and commercial priorities were defined, then turned into a modular roadmap. Features were prioritised by customer value and platform leverage, not by whoever asked loudest.

  2. 02

    Verification workflows

Verification journeys were mapped for issuers, holders and verifiers, with requirements written as clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Workflows were designed to be configurable rather than rebuilt for each market.

  3. 03

    API first integration

Platform capability was exposed through documented APIs so customers could embed verification in their own systems. Workflow automation through Make.com provided a low code option for customers without integration teams.

  4. 04

    Side chain and public anchoring

Records were processed on a side chain for speed and cost control, with periodic anchoring to a public blockchain to provide independent, tamper evident proof without writing every transaction to a public network.

  5. 05

    Cloud and scalability considerations

Architecture decisions considered multi tenancy, regional hosting needs, monitoring and scaling of verification workloads, so growth in customers and markets did not require redesign.

  6. 06

    Delivery and commercialisation

Delivery was run in prioritised increments with regular releases. Product, technical and commercial decisions were kept connected so the roadmap supported pricing, onboarding and partner models.

What changed

  • A modular product roadmap tied to commercial priorities
  • Configurable verification workflows for multiple markets
  • Documented APIs and low code automation for customer integration
  • A verification architecture balancing assurance, speed and cost
  • A platform foundation prepared for further scale
