Essential Eight alignment
Applying the ASD Essential Eight in delivery
MMG Tech understands the Australian Signals Directorate Essential Eight maturity model and can incorporate relevant controls into discovery, architecture, delivery and transformation work. The eight mitigation strategies we consider are:

MMG Tech is not Essential Eight certified and does not claim a maturity level. Maturity applies to a specific environment and is established through formal assessment.
Australian data sovereignty
Data hosting and residency
Where an engagement requires it, MMG Tech designs solutions around Australian data residency and sovereignty requirements. Residency is treated as an architecture decision, agreed with the client early and documented, rather than assumed.
MMG Tech controlled systems
Business tools MMG Tech uses to run its own operations, such as email and document management. Hosting locations for these services can be provided on request.
Client controlled systems
Environments owned and governed by the client. MMG Tech works within the client's hosting, security and data handling policies.
Third party technology platforms
Vendor platforms selected as part of a solution. Residency depends on each provider's regions and terms and is assessed for every engagement.
